B站限制大会员登陆设备数 违规则中止或终止大会员服务

Bilibili has updated its premium membership service agreement to impose device usage restrictions.

1. Rule details: A single account can now be used on a maximum of 2 devices simultaneously; on mobile, a maximum of 2 devices can access premium content within a 24-hour period.

2. Consequences: Exceeding these limits may result in Bilibili suspending or terminating the service, with the company reserving the right to seek compensation. The new rules take effect on January 16.

Practical Guide:

1. Customer service clarification: Users can log in on more than 2 devices, but only 2 or fewer devices are permitted to stream premium content within a 24-hour window.

2. Purpose explained: This measure aims to prevent account sharing and rental practices, ensuring individual, compliant use.

Related Data:

1. A related Weibo topic, "Bilibili restricts premium member device logins," garnered 1.92 million reads, indicating high user attention.

2. Bilibili's Q3 2024 financial report: Value-added service revenue reached RMB 2.82 billion, accounting for 38.6% of total revenue—an 8.7% year-on-year increase. However, this growth rate is slower than that of mobile gaming and advertising, and it has remained the largest revenue contributor since Q1 2021.

Bilibili's brand protection strategy strengthens value through device restrictions.

1. Brand marketing: The updated agreement targets account sharing and rental behaviors, aiming to reduce revenue leakage and enhance the value of its subscription service.

2. User behavior observation: Data indicates a trend of account sharing, prompting Bilibili to use technical measures (like device and time limits) to guide compliant consumption habits.

Consumption Trend Analysis:

1. Value-added service revenue grew 8.7% year-on-year, accounting for 38.6% of total revenue, indicating sustained growth for the subscription model but a slowdown that suggests market saturation challenges.

2. Its leading share since Q1 2021 highlights the mainstreaming of digital content consumption, offering brands insights for optimizing product development and pricing strategies.

Bilibili's new premium membership policy reveals both risks and opportunities.

1. Policy details: The new rules impose device limits (2 devices simultaneously, 2 devices for mobile viewing per 24 hours), with violations potentially leading to service suspension or termination, effective January 16.

2. Risk alert: Sellers should be aware of the risks of account overuse and avoid sharing behaviors that could lead to losses; opportunity note: Customer service guidelines provide compliant usage methods (multiple logins allowed, but viewing is restricted).

Key Takeaways and Business Model Insights:

1. Incident response: Bilibili's use of technical measures to prevent abuse offers a model for sellers designing their own service rules.

2. Growth market启示: Value-added services contributing 38.6% of revenue and maintaining leadership indicate the potential of subscription models, suggesting sellers explore similar partnerships or support policies.

3. Negative impact: The Weibo topic's 1.92 million reads reflect user backlash, highlighting the need to balance policy enforcement with user experience.

Bilibili's device restriction strategy offers insights for digital service design.

1. Product production needs: The rules emphasize technical implementation (e.g., device count control and time monitoring), which factories can reference to develop similar security systems preventing product misuse.

2. Business opportunity: Subscription model management (like membership services) can be applied to other e-commerce areas, with optimized design to boost revenue.

E-commerce Advancement启示:

1. Digital practice: Bilibili's approach shows how simple rules (like the 24-hour limit) can effectively curb sharing, a concept factories can apply to product design.

2. Opportunity analysis: Value-added services leading at 38.6% of revenue suggests factories should strengthen subscription elements in digital products to create new revenue streams.

Industry trends are focusing on solutions for account sharing.

1. Industry movement: Bilibili has introduced device restriction policies (2 devices simultaneously, 2 devices for mobile viewing per 24 hours) to address a common platform pain point.

2. Client pain point: Account sharing leads to revenue loss; Bilibili's measures, including service suspension for violations, are designed to counter this.

Technical Solutions:

1. New method: The rules allow multi-device logins but restrict viewing behavior, providing a low-cost, efficient anti-abuse solution.

2. Implementation effect: The Weibo topic's 1.92 million reads indicate significant user reaction; service providers can optimize similar tools to help clients mitigate risks.

Bilibili's new operational management strategy enhances risk avoidance.

1. Platform action: The updated agreement adds device restriction rules (max 2 devices simultaneously, 2 devices for mobile per 24 hours), effective January 16, with violations potentially leading to service suspension.

2. Demand and problem: Targeting commercial sharing behaviors (like account lending/rental), the platform uses customer service explanations (viewing restrictions) to manage user expectations.

Merchant Attraction and Operations:

1. Risk management: The design of rights to seek compensation for breaches helps mitigate revenue loss risks and improves platform stability.

2. User feedback: The Weibo topic's 1.92 million reads show the policy's impact, suggesting platforms should optimize communication to balance user relations.

3. Data support: Value-added services contributing 38.6% of revenue and maintaining leadership underscore the core role of the subscription model, which should be a key advantage in merchant attraction.

New industry developments focus on policy challenges for subscription services.

1. Emerging issue: Bilibili's agreement update targets account sharing, with device restriction rules (2 devices per 24 hours) sparking discussion on how to balance user rights with corporate revenue.

2. Business model analysis: Value-added services account for 38.6% of revenue, leading since Q1 2021, but the 8.7% YoY growth slowdown indicates industry growth bottlenecks.

Insights and Recommendations:

1. Policy and regulation: The measures involve consequences for breaches (service suspension), offering a case for researchers to examine the impact of regulations on digital services.

2. Industry trend: The Bilibili case (1.92 million Weibo reads) reveals shifting user behaviors, providing data to support business model optimization.
